How does Eye Rejuvenation Procedure work?

Laser Eye Rejuvenation Procedure

The eye rejuvenation procedure is an outpatient procedure in the clinic. You and your doctor will need to wear protective eyewear before the procedure.

Laser eye rejuvenation therapy at Hortman Clinics is virtually painless. However, some people may experience minor discomfort. Our doctors apply a topical numbing agent to improve your comfort.

The results of your laser eye rejuvenation therapy are long-lasting. However, they only become more evident a few weeks to a month after the treatment. You will see fewer wrinkles and more youthful skin around your eyes.

Standard lasers used for other skin procedures are unsuitable for delicate skin around the eyes. At Hortman Clinics, we use the Tixel® and Er: YAG Sciton lasers. These tools emit an energy beam that is not harmful to the eyes yet effectively tightens and smooths the area around them.

Ablative and non-ablative lasers used in the eye rejuvenation procedure help minimise and even eliminate dark circles by stimulating collagen production.

Laser eye rejuvenation is a safe procedure. However, as with any therapy, some minor side effects may occur in a few individuals. These include:

  • Itching or burning sensation
