How can you prepare for your Appointment?

If you are set to undergo a facelift procedure, here’s how you can prepare for the same:

  • Stop taking anticoagulants like Aspirin, anti-inflammatory pain-relievers or other supplements that can increase your risk for bleeding or bruising. Always discuss the same with your physician before stopping any prescription medications.
  • Avoid applying any products to your face before the procedure
  • You must undergo a complete medical checkup to determine if you are fit for general anesthesia.

Expectations/ Results after a Face Lift Treatment

Your facelift procedure may take up to 2.5 hours. After the treatment, the surgeon will apply a dressing over the incision around the side of your head.

You may experience tightness and/or tenderness around your eyes, especially when the anesthesia wears off. However, you may only feel mild discomfort with the prescribed pain medications.

A few days after your facelift procedure, your dressings will be replaced with a special elastic facial sling that supports the tissues and helps heal. You can expect your sutures to come off five to ten days after the procedure

It is normal to feel a different sensation or tightness in your facial skin, soreness or mild numbness in the muscles after the treatment. These symptoms will subside in a few days.
